Invisalign treatment can sometimes cause some pain, discomfort or soreness. The pain is typically less when compared to traditional braces but can vary in intensity for different people. Most people describe the pain as pressure pain, caused by the teeth moving into new positions. “No pain, no gain” applies to straightening your teeth as well!
Invisalign clear aligners and traditional braces are different tools we have to straighten teeth. They each have their advantages and disadvantages. In general, patients have more pleasant experience with invisalign treatment, because of the ease of oral hygiene, less limitation of food restrictions and minimal aesthetic concern from daily life.
We do not recommend eating or drinking anything other than water while you are wearing your invisalign aligners. However, when you take it off, eat whatever you like normally!
